RECEIVABLES REVIEW

Start with a Receivables Review

A Receivables Review is a structured conversation about what's actually happening in your receivables operation, not just how much is overdue.

We look at how credit control works today, where payment gets delayed or stuck, what happens when an invoice needs more than a routine reminder, and where ownership, visibility or follow-through is breaking down.

Afterwards, you'll get a written Summary of what we found, the principal issue identified and where Dutycrest could potentially help. If the real problem sits somewhere we can't fix, we'll tell you that too. There's no obligation to go any further.

No ledger. No customer names. Nothing account-level to get started.

What we discuss

The Review looks at how your receivables operation works today. It isn't an examination of individual customer accounts. We cover areas such as:

Your receivables position
The rough scale and shape of your receivables: customer and invoice volumes, payment terms and the overall overdue position.
Your current process
How invoices are followed up, who owns credit control, how payment promises and actions are tracked, and what happens when reminders don't get an invoice paid.
What's delaying payment
The issues that hold payment up: invoice queries, missing purchase orders or documents, internal approvals, disputes, broken payment promises, non-response and other recurring blockers.
Ownership and follow-through
What happens once an invoice needs more than another reminder: who takes ownership, how actions and internal dependencies are followed up, and how unresolved matters are kept moving.
Visibility and control
How easily you can see why an invoice is still unpaid, where it stands now and what needs to happen next.
The support you need
What you'd want to improve, what you'd want an outside credit-control partner to manage, what you'd keep in-house, and any customer relationships or communication requirements that need care.

What you don't need to provide

The Review starts without customer or invoice-level information. You don't need to provide:

Approximate, business-level figures are enough.

If you decide to explore working with Dutycrest after the Review, any further information needed for acceptance, onboarding and service delivery is handled separately.

How the Review works

1. We talk through your operation

We look beyond routine chasing at what happens when payment depends on resolving a query, getting information, securing an internal sign-off or following up a promise.

We then consider what appears to be the principal issue, distinguishing the underlying problem from its symptoms.

Sometimes the cause sits outside credit control altogether, in invoicing problems or recurring commercial disputes. If so, we'll tell you.

2. You receive a written Summary

Normally within two business days of the Review, you'll get a written Summary setting out:

The Summary is based on the information you give us. It's a diagnostic assessment, not an audit of individual customer accounts. It's sent only to you unless you ask us to share it with your accountant or introducer.

3. You decide the next step

The Review comes with no obligation.

If there appears to be a potential fit, you decide if you'd like us to assess the proposed engagement and portfolio.

Completing a Review doesn't mean Dutycrest has accepted your business or started managing your receivables.

Receivables are subject to acceptance

The Review helps us understand your operation and where Dutycrest could help. It isn't an offer or acceptance of service.

If you choose to continue, we'll assess the proposed engagement and portfolio before confirming we can proceed. Individual receivables are also subject to acceptance before they enter live service.

Tell us a little about your business and we'll be in touch to arrange the Review.

Please don't include customer names, individual invoice details or other customer information. A general description is enough.
